*Jermaine Jackson, who is already a “celebrity big brother” as the older sibling of Michael and Janet Jackson, has been cast alongside 10 other famous faces for the British reality TV show, “Celebrity Big Brother.”
Last month, Lil’ Kim made headlines by reportedly asking for half a million dollars and other outlandish perks to participate. Producers laughed and quickly moved on to secure Jackson along with Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty, film director Ken Russell, actor Dirk Benedict (a.k.a. Templeton "The Face" Peck from "The A-Team"), 1970s pop star Leo Sayer, a former Miss Great Britain and an outspoken newspaper gossip columnist, among others.
Much like the American version of “Big Brother” aired on CBS, Channel 4 television's "Celebrity Big Brother" will feature 11 contestants living in a house equipped with cameras that follow their every move. But unlike the American version, the viewers get to vote on who stays and who is evicted each week.
Dennis Rodman took part in “Celebrity Big Brother” last season, but lost to aspiring model and Paris Hilton look-alike, Chantelle Houghton.
Meanwhile, Jermaine’s sister La Toya stars in the upcoming CBS reality series “Armed and Famous,” which follows five “celebrities” as they train to become reserve police officers for the Muncie, Indiana police department. Co-starring Erik Estrada, Jack Osbourne, Trish Stratus and Jason Acuña (a.k.a. "Wee Man" on “Jackass”), the program premieres Wednesday (Jan. 10).
