*The eclectic singer Bjork, who made headlines when she wore a goose dress to the 2001 Oscars, has enlisted hip hop producer Timbaland to work on her new album; while Kanye West borrows a page from Jay-Z and links with Chris Martin of the alternative group, Coldplay.
Billboard reports that Timbaland will follow up his Nelly Furtado and Justin Timberlake successes in 2006 with behind-the-boards work for the Icelandic pop star, who will follow-up 2004’s “Medulla” with the as-yet-untitled set, due later this year.
Meanwhile, West tells Billboard that he has already hit the studio with Martin to record “Homecoming,” tipped to be the first release from the rapper’s follow-up to “Late Registration.”
Martin has also teamed with rapper Jay-Z for the song “Beach Chair” on Jigga’s 2006 album, “Kingdom Come.”
West’s project, “Graduation,” is tentatively due for release later this year.
