Swizz Beatz

*In the midst of lacing tracks for such artists as Jennifer Lopez, Whitney Houston and 50 Cent, super producer Swizz Beats has found time to squeeze out his own solo album, led by a song he recorded after having a little too much to drink.

"I was just drunk," Beatz tells Billboard.com about the song “It’s Me Bitches,” the first single from his upcoming Universal Motown album “One Man Band Man,” and recorded on his 28th birthday last Sept. 13.  "I didn't want to go out to the club, so I just chilled in the studio. I knew I had a concept for the song, so I went in the booth and it just came out."

A remix of “It’s Me Bitches” is currently in the works featuring Jadakiss, Kanye West, R. Kelly and Cassidy. West also appears on the album as a producer, along with Snags and Neo da Matrix.

Beatz says he considers “One Man Band Man,” due May 15, his “first real album.” The artist, however, chose to stay away from flooding the project with too many collaborations.

"I didn't want my album to be like I was leaning on a whole bunch of other artists like crutches," he says.

One of those guest acts, rock group Coldplay, appears on the track "Part of the Plan." He hopes the treatment for the video will parallel the story line of the movie "Crash," and has already teamed up with the film's director, Paul Haggis, who he says "is super open on the idea."

The next single from the album is "Big Munny," based on the cartoon character featured in his Kid Robot clothing line, which hit stores early last year.
