*The Insider is reporting that E! Entertainment Television has had about all it can stomach of Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie.
Although Richie confirmed to KIIS jock Ryan Seacrest that she has signed on for a sixth and seventh season of their reality series, “The Simple Life,” The Insider is reporting that E! will not bring the show back for the 2007-08 season.
E! picked up the series after it was dumped by Fox in 2005 following its second season.
Since ratings have been extremely low, chances are you missed Sunday’s episode featuring Paris in dark makeup to resemble a black woman.
London’s Daily Mail Web site has a series of photos from the episode, where Hilton dons a Farrah Faucet wig and what appears to be a dark bronzer to portray a black woman. Nicole Richie, who is black, is pictured wearing an afro wig for the episode.
Earlier this month, TMZ.com showed a photo of Sally Kirkland in blackface and an afro to portray Nicole’s father, Lionel Richie, on the same episode. The actress, who serves as the socialites’ Camp Shawnee acting coach in “The Simple Life Goes to Camp,” was reportedly convinced by Nicole to wear the getup after they argued over Nicole’s refusal to perform Shakespeare.
