R. Kelly

*Keyshia Cole slipped up and told MTV News Monday that she’ll embark on a tour with R. Kelly sometime in October, which means Kelly not only believes his trial on child pornography charges will be completed, but that he will be vindicated and avoid jail time.

According to MTV, Cole broke the news during an interview, stating: "We're actually going on tour together in October."  However, neither Cole nor Kelly's camps have confirmed the exact start date of the October jaunt.

Prosecutors have said Kelly’s trial is expected to last for four weeks, but who knows how long the jury will take to deliberate. A verdict could be reached within four hours, as in the case of O.J. Simpson, or seven days, the amount of time it took for a jury to acquit Michael Jackson of child molestation.

Kelly’s ability to leave the state of Illinois could also put a wrench in tour plans. Ever since he was charged five years ago, the artist has been ordered to seek permission – in the form of a letter to the prosecutor's office – to travel outside the Chicago jurisdiction.

Despite the uncertainty, Cole said she's excited about the prospect of a joint tour.

"I love R. Kelly," the singer said. "He's surpassed so much. I think people love someone that can go through things and overcome things. [A tour together] should be hot."
