*Well folks, this could finally be the big one for Bey and Jay. According to People magazine, and not some two-bit blog, Beyoncé Knowles and boyfriend Jay-Z have taken out a marriage licence in New York
The document, which is valid for 60 days, was allegedly taken out on Tuesday morning. And it will come as no surprise that a representative for Beyoncé has responded with a "no comment" statement.
The couple, which has been subjected to umpteen marriage rumors by gossip blogs, began dating initially on the DL in 2002. They met after collaborating on the tracks '03 Bonnie & Clyde' and 'Crazy in Love'. They were rumoured to be planning a wedding in New York earlier in the year at either The Carlyle or Peninsula Hotel.
Both Beyoncé and Jay-Z have been reluctant to talk about their relationship and the prospect of marriage.
"You can't rush a man into anything - whether it's a relationship, marriage or having children," said Beyoncé in a 2006 magazine interview.
On the other hand, remember, yesterday, Tuesday was April 1. Time will tell.
