     Award winning Gospel pioneers Edwin and Walter Hawkins is sponsoring a Three-Day "Exploring the Music & Arts Ministries" workshop at Antioch Church of Long Beach located at 1535 Gundry Avenue, Long Beach, California.  The workshops, held nightly from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30p.m. beginning the 19th, will end tonight.

     Renowned songwriter Pastor Calvin Bernard Rhone is amongst some of the special guests sharing their knowledge and skill in the areas of the ministry of Gospel music, vocal technique, choir decorum, songwriting, the business of Gospel music and more.   
     The event concludes with a Live concert recording at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 22, 2008 also held at Antioch Church of Long Beach and hosted by comedians Rodney Perry and Yvette the Funny Lady of Comedy. 

     Students attending the workshops will have the opportunity to sing in the Workshop Mass Choir and/or be a lead vocalist as part of the live concert recording. There will be special performances by Gospel recording artist Daryl Coley and also the Devine Purpose Chorale.  A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the CD will go to assist Daryl Coley's foundation "Heart of Hope" which was established to help raise funds to assist in his much needed Kidney transplant as a result of diabetes.  Other guests include Jesse Campbell, Omarosa, Tiny Lister, Lester Barry and Desiree Coleman-Jackson.

The workshops are held in several cities and used as a tool to promote their much larger yearly National Conference which is now in its 28th year.
