*Dallas Cowboy’s Terrell Owens celebrated his 35th birthday in a great looking winter white suit in style Monday night at the Gaylord Texan Cactus Room in Grapevine, Texas.
The proceeds from his celebrity charity event support the Terrell Owens “Catch A Dream Foundation.” Each guest was asked to bring a teddy bear for the 81 needy Dallas area families.
The donations that are made by guests help to clothe, feed and sponsor during the Holiday. Last year, everyone’s generosity enabled 350 families to have a wonderful Holiday.
Although it was 24 degrees that night, it was “hot” inside the Cactus Room, because the place was action-packed and full of entertainment from the red carpet and paparazzi, to the celebrity guests.
Celebrity guests in attendance were Solange Knowles, Toccaro from America’s Top Models, Jill St. Marie, Guy Torry, Deion Sanders and his beautiful wife Pilar, Melyssa Ford, members of the Dallas Cowboys (where was Tony Romo and Jason Witten? ... hmmm? Actually, for the answer, click here.) and a host of others.

After the dinner, there was a celebrity auction which was hosted by the very funny Guy Torry. Last year the auction raised over $250,000 for needy area families and this year the plan was to beat last year's fund raising efforts.
I must say I admire Terrell for giving something back to the community. In today’s media, when all you hear about is negative images of our black athletes, it is refreshing to see one that is passionate about making a difference, and is grounded in Christian beliefs.
Monday night in Grapvine, TX was definitely a “Night To Remember.”
HOTEP (Peace)
