Known for her powerful vocals as part of the Tri-City Singers gospel group, Sheri Jones Moffett is ready for her first solo CD release entitled "Renewed" due out in August.
The CD promises to showcase Jones-Moffett as a standout talent among gospel greats.
"We have loved working with Sheri since Donald Lawrence first introduced her to us as part of The Tri-City Singers a number of years ago," Ken Pennell, president of EMI Gospel told Gospelflava.com. "We feel she has been part of our family, so to collaborate even more closely with her now in her first venture as a solo artist is especially fulfilling."
Also recognized as the former duo partner with Ted Wynn of Ted and Sheri, Jones-Moffett is the lead vocalist on the GRAMMY-nominated hit "Encourage Yourself".
The songstress received great reviews after recently performing selections from the CD. Marilyn White, publisher of Precious Times Magazine, called Jones-Moffett "just powerful."
