LIFETIME TV PRESENTS WOMENROCK! Vivica A. Fox Hosts While Angie Stone, EnVogue, Kelley Clarkson And Debbie Harry Perform.Special celebrates breast cancer survivors!(October 28, 2004)
On Friday October 28, 2004, at 11:00pm ET/PM Lifetime Television airs “WOMENROCK!,” a concert honoring breast cancer survivors.
The vivacious and multi-talented actor Vivica A. Fox will host this all studded female concert featuring, Angie Stone, rock legend Debbie Harry of Blondie, EnVogue and Kelley Clarkson.
Showing up on the pink carpet is Loretta Devine of the controversial movie “Women Thou Art Loosed” Anthony Hamilton who is touring with Angie Stone, Tammy Agassi ( Tennis Super star Andre’s sister), Kelly Clarkson and EnVogue.
Kelly Clarkson who will share the stage with EnVogue says about the group, “They are sickly talented.” Meanwhile, will Clarkson be a future 4th addition to the sexy group? (Watch the finale)
“I felt honored and wonderful that God chose me to be a liaison between them and what life is about,” says Angie Stone who will delight the audience with the song “Wind Beneath My Wings.” Both of Stone’s parents are cancer survivors.
In remembrance of the late SNL comedy queen, Gilda Radner, who succumbed to the disease, Loretta Devine will introduce Blondie.
Hip-hop Producer, Bryce Wilson and Soul stylist Anthony Hamilton, share their thoughts on breast cancer: “Don’t let negative thoughts take over”, says Hamilton. Wilson states, “Give education back to communities including educating males on cancer.”
After losing a close friend and almost losing her acting coach to breast cancer, Vivica A. Fox tells her female fans to “do your examination in the shower. It's real easy, just rub rub rub."
