*As if the prospect of a 20-year jail bid isn’t enough, Lil’ Kim and her legal team must now turn attention to the New York production company Red Moxie, who is accusing the rapper of trying to sell their footage of her perjury trial for a new reality TV show without having the legal right to do so. According to the New York Daily News, Red Moxie owns the footage and obtained a signed release from Kim before filming began. The production company is said to have a tentative deal with an unnamed cable network to air it following the 29-year-old’s sentencing on June 24. But Kim’s reps have reportedly been pitching the very same footage to cable outlets, even though the Brooklyn M.C. doesn't own it. Kim’s people have reportedly offered Red Moxie $30,000 for the video and all the subsequent rights and royalties, an offer Red Moxie apparently turned down. In denying Kim’s intention to sell the footage, her entertainment lawyer L. Londell McMillan explained to the Daily News: "In preparation for the release of her forthcoming album and in hopes that she would be acquitted of all charges brought against her at the time, Lil' Kim had her life documented. However, in light of her perjury conviction, yet acquittal of obstruction of justice, Lil' Kim is currently in a state of remorse, taking responsibility for the jury verdict and instructions by the judge. She has no interest at this time to exploit any such footage, but instead, would rather focus on finishing up the recording of her new album and spending time with her loved ones." There is apparently a concern that some of the comments captured on tape may jeopardize her sentencing. Among the footage viewed by the “Daily News” was a potentially damaging scene in which McMillan speaks ill of the prosecution team and discusses the supposed leniency of Federal Judge Gerard Lynch. "I'm not familiar with the tapes that you're discussing,” said her defense attorney Mel Sachs. “I don't have any reason to believe there are any comments that would in any way jeopardize the sentencing." Another scene in the footage shows Queen Bee in her SUV en route to the first day of jury selection, saying: "It's the same courtroom - oh gosh - Martha Stewart was in. We don't want any bad vibes jumpin' off on us." -------------------------------------- Speak Out
