NAACP SET TO ANNOUNCE IMAGE AWARD NOMINEES: Stars from film and TV to gather Jan. 10 for formal announcements.

Aisha Tyler (CSI and Ghost Whisperer), Kimberly Elise (Close to Home and Diary of A Mad Black Woman), Mehcad Brooks (Desperate Housewives) are among the celebrities on tap to announce the nominees for the 37th NAACP Image Awards on Tuesday, Jan. 10 at 9 a.m. (PT) at the Beverly Hills Peninsula Hotel.

Also taking part in the nominations announcement are Randy Jackson (American Idol), Chandra Wilson (Grey's Anatomy), Kevin Frazier (Entertainment Tonight), and Tracie Thoms (Rent and Cold Case).

The NAACP Image Awards celebrate the outstanding achievements and performances by people of color in literature, television, motion pictures and recording arts.

The 37th NAACP Image Awards will take place at the Shrine Auditorium on Feb. 25, and will broadcast on Friday, Mar, 3, (8:00 p.m. ET/PT) on FOX.
