*She may be behind bars, but Lil’ Kim is still making sure that the kids in the neighborhood near her Philadelphia Federal Detention Center have plenty of toys for Christmas. Her foundation Lil Kim Cares, along with Mitchell Ness and Zab Judah, will convene at the Francis J. Myers Recreation Center tomorrow (58th & Kingsessing Aves.) to donate toys to under-privileged youths from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. The event is free and open to the public, however, toys will be given on a first come, first serve basis to children 13 years of age and younger. *Cypress Hill has released a career-spanning CD entitled, “Greatest Hits from the Bong.” The retrospective is a first-ever English language collection from the group and includes such hits from their 13-year run as “How I Could Just Kill A Man,” “Hand on the Pump” and others. The album also features two new songs by the group - "The Only Way" and "EZ Come EZ Go" - and a Reggaeton mix of their single "Latin Thugs," featuring Tego Calderón. *According to the New York Post, Foxy Brown got some Christmas shopping done at Henri Bendel last week, picking up some cashmere sweaters and two Bracher Emden bags. As she was walking out, the rapper caught sight of another bag she liked better and asked for an exchange. Singer Ashanti and actress Kate Winslet were also spotted purchasing the store’s popular cashmere sweaters. The rapper recently announced that she would soon undergo surgery to repair her hearing loss. *Authorities in Dothan, Alabama are investigating a cancelled concert that was to feature southern rappers Paul Wall, Mike Jones and Chamillionaire. Police say the show scheduled for Dec. 9th was advertised on Dothan radio station WDBT and was booked by the promotions company Top Dog Entertainment. After more than $4,000 worth of tickets were sold through local businesses, fans were met at the venue with a sign saying the concert was cancelled – with no reason given. According to allhiphop.com, one local retailer was forced to return $1500 in refunds to irate customers The venue’s manager claimed that promoters never paid the remaining deposit to secure the building.
