IT’S OPEN BAR FOR NELLY IN ST. LOUIS SUBURB: Rapper and his St. Lunatics crew planning to open new eatery.
*Nelly and his St. Lunatic rap group are planning to open Mack’s Bar and Grill, a new 3,500-square foot eatery in the suburb of their St. Louis stomping grounds.
Mack’s, an acronym for the names of each owner – Murphy Lee, Ali, Cornell, Kyjuan and Slodown – will open in Hazelwood at 6827 Howdershell Road, the former address of Pilla's Restaurant and Lounge.
"Nelly has always looked for business opportunities, and Ali ran across this [property]," Nelly's business manager Mike Chaffin told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. "And we found that it could be a profitable opportunity."
According to Chaffin, Pilla's family will continue to own the property while the group will own the business.
