*Janice Carter (no city given):

"Wassup EUR?! First off, I love this site.  It is entertaining, but most of all it is informative.

I am writing to the feedbacker that wanted to know if it really cost $120,000.00 a year to raise two kids (see Mos Def story). Yes!  Kids grow, they need medical attention, food, shelter, and various other items.

I know some will wonder where the funds are going and maybe putting a portion of it into a trust for the children is a fab idea. However, why is it that when a woman has to ask a man for more money to take care of the children that they created together, society tends to put a limit on what is normal or OK?

If the kids where able to have certain things and live a certain way when the parents where together, then why should the CHILDREN suffer when the parents are NOT?  They go thru enough without having to feel like they no longer deserve what they had before, because the parents couldn't/wouldn't work out their (PARENTAL) issues.

Now, as for Shani Davis (02-20-06 EUR) ...YOU GO BOY!!! Go all the way to the top in each event you enter.  Is it just me or does it appear that Chad Hedrick is upset, because Davis didn't help HIM with HIS personal goal of attaining 5 gold medals?

Why, is it that Shani is mentioned as being self-centered and non-patriotic in his pursuit, but NO ONE says nothing about the fact that Hedrick's goal was just as personal?  Hedrick kept saying how he wanted to beat Heiden's record of 5 gold medals, hhhmmm is that not a PERSONAL quest?

Davis was right to do what he did.  He didn't give into the pressure to do the 'team' thing and lets be honest, why should he?  If he didn't get to the Olympics inside of the National Speedskating Program like the others did, then why does he now have to 'play?'  He doesn't and I am glad that he stood up and said I planned my work and am now working my plan!!!!!  Once again, YOU GO BOY!!!!!!

Thanks EUR for the opportunity to have my voice heard."
