PLAYBOY JAZZ FEST ANNOUNCES LINEUP: Cosby returns as host; Branford, Grover, Stanley Clarke/George Duke Project on the bill.

      *Bill Cosby will return as host of the Playboy Jazz Festival this year, with a lineup that includes Branford Marsalis, Jamie Cullum, McCoy Tyner and Elvis Costello and the Imposters with Allen Toussaint.    

       The 28th annual event will take place on June 17 and 18 at the Hollywood Bowl with additional acts: The Clayton Hamilton Jazz Orchestra featuring vibraharpist Stefon Harris in a tribute to the late Milt Jackson; and Eddie Palmieri with his Afro-Caribbean Jazz All Stars and special guests Regina Carter and David Sanchez. Lesa Terry and the Women's Jazz Orchestra of Los Angeles are also in the lineup.      

       A Grover Washington Jr. tribute will bring in Gerald Albright, Jeff Lorber and Kirk Whalum and the Golden Striker Trio will feature Ron Carter, Mulgrew Miller and Russell Malone.      

       Other performers include pianist Eldar Djangirov, the Stanley Clarke/George Duke Project, the Benny Golson quartet, The Preservation Hall Jazz Band and Ozomatli.
