JERMAINE REPORTEDLY TAPE-RECORDED DISHING ON MIJAC: Author Brown says he’s got audio tapes proving Jermaine’s bombshells from book proposal.(March 9, 2006)
*Another day, another chapter in Jermaine Jackson’s planned tell-all book that was reportedly scrapped after Michael Jackson heard about his unflattering presence in the project. One day following the release of statements from Jermaine and papa, Joseph Jackson, denying allegations made by the book’s ghostwriter Stacy Brown, the author claims to have proof that Jermaine’s statements detailing the contents of the tell-all are indeed true – as Brown’s sessions with Jermaine were tape recorded. "I've got Jermaine on tape, and the tapes are being turned over to attorney Mel Sachs," Brown told the New York Daily News. Appearing on CNN's "Larry King Live" Monday night, Jermaine dismissed Brown’s account of the book proposal as "lies," claiming Brown concocted a phony version that portrayed Michael in a negative light without Jermaine's knowledge or consent. On Tuesday, Brown went into his storage unit and came up with about 20 tapes he says contain many of Jermaine's interviews for the tell-all. Brown said the tapes will confirm key statements in the nine-page proposal obtained by the New York Daily News, including Jermaine’s discussion of Michael's drug and alcohol abuse and statement that he "had a thing for young children" and might be guilty of child molestation. "Without a doubt," the tapes will prove Jermaine bashed Michael, Brown said.
