*Eddie Griffin has been cast in the auto thriller “Redline,” notes the Hollywood Reporter.  The actor joins Nathan Phillips in the movie financed and produced for $26 million by former real estate investor Daniel Sadek. For the car sequences, Sadek is allowing his own collection of automobiles to be used – including his Phantom, Lamborghini Murcielago, Enzo Ferrari, Ferrari F430, Ferrari Scaglietti and two McLarens, among others. He’ll destroy of his two $200,000 Porsche Carrera GTs in one sequence. Shooting is under way in the Los Angeles and Las Vegas.

*John Singleton has been tapped to produce “Illegal Tender,” a drama about a young Latino man on the run with his mother from thugs who killed his father. Casting talks are under way with top reggaeton artist Tego Calderon, Rick Gonzalez, Wanda De Jesus and Zoe Saldana. Franc Reyes, who will direct from his own script, is currently in Puerto Rico scouting. Budgeted at $3 million, the film is slated to start shooting May 9 in Puerto Rico and New York.

*A new documentary honors the Kenyan cameraman whose footage of starving Ethiopians in 1984 provoked the most famous global aid response in history.  Journalist Mohamed Amin is the subject of "Mo & Me," which follows his remarkable life – from his first big scoop exposing Soviet military activity in Zanzibar to his death arguing with hijackers as their plane crashed near the Comoros islands. The documentary has already won an award in Los Angeles for best international documentary. It heads to another film festival in New York on May 9, then premieres to the public in Amin's birthplace Nairobi on May 17.

*Nicole Richie is still trying to convince people that she doesn’t have a nasty case of anorexia. "Am I thin? Yes, no doubt about it. But to say I'm on the verge of death is just untrue,” she says in the latest issue of Glamour magazine. "My family gets really upset to see these people writing lies about their child. Do they ask me about it? No, because they know that I eat." The author and star of “The Simple Life” blames her emaciated frame on the busy schedule she keeps. "I have days where I'm up at 4.30 a.m. and still filming at 11 p.m.,” she says. "I'll squeeze in a workout when I have time, but I don't do any cardio - I don't need to, I'm too thin... And I eat whatever I feel like, sandwiches, whatever."

*The 18th season of MTV’s “Real World” will take place in Denver, the network announced Monday. The cast has already been chosen and the location is being supported by both Colorado Gov. Bill Owens and Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper. "Denver has absolutely everything we could hope for — diversity, activities, energy and nightlife," said Lois Curren, executive vice president of MTV Series Entertainment.
