*Will Smith will star in and produce the action thriller "Greenbacks" for 20th Century Fox, reports Variety. Set in Morocco, the film follows an American ex-pat who stumbles across a plot to destabilize the world's economy by mass-producing perfect counterfeit money. Smith is also producing and starring in Sony's "The Pursuit of Happyness," and is producing Sony's "Monster Hunter."

*Queen Latifah will give critics of public assistance some ammunition with her new film, “Welfare Queen,” based on the true story of a woman (Dorothy Woods) who made a fortune from scamming the welfare system. The film is part of the first-look deal with Focus Features forged by Flavor Unit, the production company run by Latifah and Shakim Compere. "This is the first major deal we've signed with a studio, and we did it because we felt confident we could go from 'Welfare Queen' to 'Horror in the Hamptons,' which is a script by Alex Mirkin about a bunch of 16-year-olds chopping each other up," Latifah told Variety. "We get our hands on a lot of material we can do well, and our dream is to work up to producing three movies a year. The deal isn't based on me being in every film." Flavor Unit is producing along with Tracey Edmonds’ Edmonds Entertainment.

*Tyrese Gibson will produce and star in "To Each His Own," an urban drama about two friends in conflict. Gibson also wrote the screenplay and will produce the project for Screen Gems through his HQ Pictures banner. The model-turned-singer-turned-actor previously sold the pitches "D.A. Verdict" to MGM and "Extortion" to Universal but his busy schedule prevented him from writing the scripts. When neither turned out the way he had envisioned, he carved out time to write “To Each His Own,” explaining to Variety: "My own interest was borne out of the frustration of watching white and Latino guys write these urban movies that had no genuine (ear) for the dialogue."

*Tamala Jones and Bree Turner join Wayne Brady in the CW sitcom "Flirt." The Touchstone TV show stars Brady as the sole man working at a women's magazine. Jones and Turner will play his co-workers.

*According to reports, Oprah Winfrey has found herself in the middle of the Brangelina/Jennifer Aniston drama. British magazine Star quotes a friend of Jolie’s named Tonya Hart, who says the “Tomb Raider” vixen feels that Aniston, her boyfriend’s ex-wife, used her September appearance on “The Oprah Winfrey Show” to turn the public against her and Pitt. Hart claims Jolie said: "Oh my God, it makes me want to throw up. She shot her mouth off and Oprah took it all in. The audience took it all in. They were all against Brad and me from that moment on. She wanted people to feel sorry for her that her marriage was down the pan. Brad and I couldn't defend ourselves." Tonya adds, "Ange told Oprah she was extremely upset with her and wanted nothing to do with the show, even though Oprah reportedly said, 'Don't bear a grudge against me.'"
