*Track star Marion Jones was in fine form Sunday winning the 100 meters easily at the FBK Games in Hengelo, Netherlands. "A win is a win," Jones said of her finishing time of 11.16 seconds. "I am extremely delighted ... I want to go back home and train for the nationals. I hope I can keep this form." Jones ran 11.06 earlier this month in Mexico, the second-best time in the world this year. It was her first race after an 11-month absence during which she battled injuries and doping allegations.

*The Roadway Mobile Museum, which is dedicated to the history of Negro League Baseball, is scheduled to dock at Shea Stadium this Saturday and Sunday. Legendary player, scout and coach Buck O'Neil is traveling with the exhibit, located in a 53-foot trailer under the theme "Times of Greatness." The collection features historic photographs, video, uniforms and other memorabilia from the era.

*Miami Heat center Shaquille O'Neal recently spoke about the "arrests" he’s made as a reserve officer for the Miami Police department. He tells Page Six: "I do not have to run after the people or tackle them. They always surrender peacefully. And I'm never afraid. When I arrive, they are really already under arrest. …I am not a hero. My father was my hero growing up. He was an army drill sergeant and an FBI agent."

*Venus Williams has advanced to the third round of the French Open by defeating Finland’s Emma Laine 7-6 (7-2), 6-2. Williams, the 11th seed, played in a Roland Garros sweatshirt on center court Wednesday night, as cool weather and approaching night sky made for a chilly Paris evening. Others advancing Wednesday included Maria Sharapova and Amelie Mauresmo.
