ROY WILLIAMS DESCRIBES BREAKUP WITH KELLY ROWLAND: Dallas Cowboy says they barely knew each other.
*Dallas Cowboys player Roy Williams is speaking out for the first time about his breakup with former Destiny's Child star Kelly Rowland.
In an interview with Vibe Vixen, the 6 ft., 226-pound defensive back said he initially wanted to slow down their whirlwind romance after he took a pre-marriage, getting-to-know-your-mate questionnaire and discovered just how little he really knew about the singer.
"I sat her down on the bed and said, 'Kelly, we don't know each other well enough to get married,’” Williams said in the magazine. "At the time, she was cool with it, but I ended up catching a lot of heat for doing the grown-up thing."
Rowland, meanwhile, said the calling off of her nuptials was embarrassing, as she had just appeared in a wedding gown on the cover of Modern Bride magazine.
She told Vibe Vixen: "I was so embarrassed. I didn't even want to go out of the house and I really didn't want to put my family in the position of having to answer questions about the wedding."
