*Will Smith has been cast in the upcoming film “Seven Pounds” for Columbia Pictures and Escape Artists, and is in talks to also produce the movie through his Overbrook Entertainment shingle. The story follows a man who inadvertently falls in love with a woman while attempting to kill himself. In the meantime, Smith will shoot "I Am Legend" for Warner Bros. Pictures. He’s also signed on to star in Columbia's "Tonight, He Comes," which has been pushed back to a 2007 start date after director Gabriele Muccino dropped out. Muccino also helmed Smith’s upcoming film "The Pursuit of Happyness."

*British actress Thandie Newton tells of being humiliated during one of her first Hollywood auditions when she was asked to fake an orgasm; the footage of which ended up being shown at private screenings hosted by the film’s shady director. She told In Style magazine: "It didn't occur to me that I could say no. I just had to fake an orgasm with the camera rolling. Revolting! That's why the transition from childhood to adulthood has to be protected." Newton wouldn’t name the film or the director, but sad that Jennifer Lopez was finally given the part.

*Speaking of J.Lo, her presence on the upcoming film remake of “Dallas” has reportedly caused Jennifer Garner to turn down a role in the project. Britain's Daily Mail newspaper claims the “Alias” star was in talks to play Bobby Ewing's wife Pam, but backed out when she realized Lopez, the former girlfriend of her husband Ben Affleck, would be playing J.R.'s wife Sue-Ellen. A source says, "Jennifer Garner was really keen to be in 'Dallas,' but I think she felt there would be a bit of a strain between them on the set and that could have led to awkward situations. Both are totally professional, but there might have been a certain 'atmosphere,' and Jennifer Garner didn't need to go there."

*Actor-rapper Nick Cannon says he used to videotape his sexual escapades while living in a Hollywood Hills bachelor pad with then-Nickelodeon colleague Kenan Thompson, who starred in the network’s hit “Kenan and Kel” and is currently a cast member on “Saturday Night Live.” Cannon confesses to Complex magazine: "I know in my room I had the video cameras set up, and I don't know what happened to a lot of those tapes. We were throwing parties every day. I had to move out of L.A. because I was too wrapped up in that scene. It wasn't really about girls' feelings; it would just be like a contest to see how many chicks I could smash off."
