NEPTUNES SUED FOR COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT: Two men claim production team stole portions of their song for 2003 track ‘Frontin.’”

     *Two Connecticut men have filed a lawsuit against production team The Neptunes claiming copyright infringement, reports Allhiphop.com.      

       Peter and David Currin say portions of their 1993 song “I’m Frontin” were illegally copied by the Neptunes’ Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo for their 2003 song, “Frontin’,” featuring Jay-Z.        

       The lawsuit, filed in Hartford Federal Court, seeks an undisclosed amount and also includes Arista Records, Sony and RCA as defendants.      

        Frontin’ was released in on the 2003 album “The Neptunes Presents...The Clones.”
