*Rapper T.I. is getting into the used car business. The star who released a #1 debut disc, “King,” just won the BET Award for male hip-hop artist, made his big screen acting debut in this year’s “ATL” and was a part of the distribution deal for the “Hustle & Flow” soundtrack, is putting another notch in his belt. T. I., whose real name is Tip Harris, along with his partner Jason Geter, has sold a film idea to New Line. Their company, Grand Hustle Entertainment, sold the pitch for the film, tentatively titled “For Sale,” about an Atlanta used-car lot described as the last place a car would go. T.I. is set to play one of the salesmen.

*Nona Gaye, who has shown her chops as an actress on the big screen with “The Gospel,” “xXx: State of the Union,” and “The Matrix Revolutions,” just to name a few, has signed on for the small screen. Gaye, daughter of legendary soul singer Marvin Gaye has joined the cast of NBC’s “Law & Order: Criminal Intent” as the assistant
district attorney. Gaye’s entrance is an exit for Courtney B. Vance who played ADA Ron Carver since the show’s debut in 2001. The show starts its 6th season this fall.

*Couple Eddie Murphy and new love Mel B are ready to make it permanent. Though the couple is not heading to the alter (as if that’s permanent these days anyway), the two did decide to get each other’s names tattooed on them. The formerly secret pair has yet to confirm the relationship, but paparazzi will be looking for the ink, wherever it may be placed. Insiders say Mel has Murphy’s name on her hip. Murphy split from his wife, Nicole, in Aug. 2005 after 12 years of marriage.

*Rap star LL Cool J is making a one-show appearance in the UK this fall. The rapper/actor will play London’s Brixton Academy on Oct. 13. Tickets for the show are available online at ww.NME.COM/Gigs.  LL the actor made a splash this year in “Last Holiday” with Queen Latifah, but his latest effort, crime drama "Edison,” which also stars Morgan Freeman, is heading straight to video.
