*Dem Franchize Boyz left fans hanging at a show scheduled for 10:30 p.m. last Friday (7/21) at the Greenwood Civic Center in South Carolina.

The Atlanta quartet failed to show up for their headlining gig, which caused the crowd of about 1,100 to become “real rowdy,” according to the show’s promoter, Reggie Johnson.

Extra security was called in when it was clear that the group would be a no-show. According to the Index-Journal, Johnson said the crowd “left because officers were there. They calmed down pretty quick."

No refunds were issued because all ticket revenues are with Dem Franchize Boyz' management, Johnson said.

As alternative compensation, Johnson's company, RRJ Productions, is throwing a free pool party and cookout this Saturday (7/29) for all ticket holders at 2 p.m. at the R.L. Stevens Recreation Center on Seaboard Avenue.
