TOYOTA AND THE NBA AT THE LINE: Charity Stripe Party Brings Out The stars

      Toyota, the official vehicle of the NBA, presented the first ever Charity Stripe Party at the 40/40 Club in New York hosted by NBA Player Chris Paul with a musical performance by  Blackstar (Mos Def & Talib Kweli). 

      In attendance were NBA superstars Carmelo Anthony, Chris Weber, Paul Pierce, along with draftees Rudy Gay, Rodney Carney, and the San Antonio Spur’s Walter Barry.

      Also hangin' at the event: Oakland Raider’s Jermatrius Butler, NE Patriot’s Erik Davis as well as actors and celebs like Anthony Mackie, designer Marc Ecko, Dorian Missick, Godfrey, Rob Brown, Miss Info, O.A.R’s Marc Roberge and Benj Gershman and MTV’s La La Vasquez.  Susie Castillo, and Angela Simmons attended the star-studded event.

      As mentioned above, the event marked the launch of the first ever Toyota NBA Charity Stripe Auction (www.nba.com/Toyota) with proceeds going to NBA Cares and Chris Paul’s CP3 Foundation.  Some of the Auction items included: “An Evening with a NY Knicks Legend”, including a pre-game dinner and VIP tickets to a NY Knicks game; a $500 gift card to the NBA Store in NYC; “A Private Golf Outing with George Gervin,” including tickets to an NBA game; and other unique NBA memorabilia.

     Also during the evening, 2K Sports hosted the NBA 2K6 Celebrity Videogame Challenge featuring match up's between Chris Paul and NBA hopefuls on the #1 ranked NBA basketball videogame.

MTV VJ La La Vasquez and Angela Simmons hang out in the VIP lounge at the Toyota NBA Charity Stripe Party.
