FLAVOR FLAAAAV!: ‘Flavor of Love 2’ premieres Sunday; ‘Flavorette’ spinoff to feature a season-one star searching for love.
*Don’t front, you know you’ve already set the TiVo to Season Pass “Flavor Of Love 2,” which kicks off its second season on Sunday (8/6) at 10 p.m. on VH1. But we have just learned that the profound ghettoness does not stop there.
VH1 is reportedly casting for a spinoff that will feature a harem of 20 young men competing for the hand of a former “Flavor of Love” contestant, which could be New York, Hottie, Hoops, Goldie, or any of the other young ladies of season one.
According to the Web site Reality Wanted, VH1 is looking for single men between the ages of 21 and 35 for “The Flavorette,” which will hold auditions in New York, Los Angeles, Houston, Atlanta, Chicago, St. Louis, Baltimore and Washington D.C.
In the meantime, “Flavor of Love 2” begins Sunday with a 90-minute episode in which viewers are introduced to a fresh crew of 20 ladies, as well as their new nicknames personally selected by Flav.
“Even more outrageous and sexy, these girls are brassy, bold and determined to get their man -- at any cost,” reads a statement from VH1. “From the first five minutes to the final thirty seconds, this is a series premiere that cannot be missed.”
If you can’t wait until Sunday to see the madness, VH1’s broadband Internet service VSPOT (http://vspot.vh1.com) will sneak peek the entire episode beginning today. Additionally, each week’s show will be available on VSPOT in its entirety for 48 hours every Wednesday following its Sunday night broadcast.
Also, VSPOT and VH1 Mobile will also host "extras" each week including, never-before-seen footage from the show and aftershow segments hosted by "Goldie" from season one.
Last season’s 90-minute "Flavor of Love" finale made VH1 history by becoming the network's top rated telecast of all time.
