*British actress Thandie Newton had an embarrassing moment before photographers recently when a wardrobe malfunction exposed more of her than she would’ve liked during a red carpet event in London’s fashionable Mayfair.
"She shrieked when she realized lots of people got a sneaky peak. She was really embarrassed," The Sun quoted a witness as saying.
Meanwhile, the 33-year-old “Crash” actress has loosened up in a different way with her latest role opposite Eddie Murphy. After emotionally-draining turns in “Crash” and in “The Pursuit of Happyness” opposite Will Smith, Newton couldn’t wait to jump into the comedy, “Norbit,” which stars the actress as Murphy’s love interest.
"I really needed to do something lighter. I generally play tough roles that are emotionally hard going,” she said, according to Contact Music. “I just did this film with Will Smith, and typically the film lightened up once my character was no longer in it. So doing a film with Eddie is great, but I half expect the film police to come along and say, 'What are you doing? You're not supposed to be in comedies,' and take me away."
