*Inspired by their own childhood experiences, funnymen Shawn, Marlon and Keenen Ivory Wayans lend their unique comedic touch to Thugaboo, a hilariously heart-warming series of kids animated specials debuting on DVD today, August 29, 2006 from Warner Home Video following Nickelodeon primetime broadcasts in mid-August.
In the tradition of “Charlie Brown” and “Fat Albert,” Thugaboo takes a humorous look at the trials and tribulations of nine very different kids.
Boasting an impressive all-star voice cast, Shawn and Marlon Wayans are joined by sister Kim Wayans (“In Living Color”), Michael Rapaport (“Dr. Doolittle 2”), George Gore II (“My Wife & Kids”), Aries Spears (“Mad TV”), David Alan Grier (“Life With Bonnie”) and Charlie Murphy (“Chappelle’s Show”).
Thugaboo is The Wayans Family’s homegrown moniker for kids who may appear hard on the outside, but are simply soft, normal, curious children on the inside.
