COREY CLARK, A WANTED MAN: Warrant in the works for former “Idol” singer after missing court date in Arizona.(September 18, 2006)
*A warrant is expected to be issued in Arizona for ex-“American Idol” Corey Clark after he skipped a scheduled court appearance Tuesday, reports the Associated Press. The 26-year-old was arrested in Yuma County last July 24 for violating a court order and trespassing, stemming from an incident at the Yuma home of his wife's parents. Two misdemeanor charges were filed against the singer, who was booted from “American Idol” in 2003 for failing to disclose a previous arrest. He later claimed to have had an affair with “Idol” judge Paula Abdul, but an investigation by Fox found no proof. Clark's wife, Monica Rodriguez Gonzalez, 27, filed for a domestic violence protective order in June in Yuma County Superior Court claiming that he had abused her. The order prohibited Clark from having any contact with her, as well as eight others, including their child. Speak Out
