WHAT’S THE DEAL WITH TONY AND EVA?: ‘People’ mag reports they’re done, yet trying to make it work at the same time.
*Apparently, lovebirds Eva Longoria and Tony Parker aren’t as picture perfect as they had appeared in recent months. According to People magazine, the couple has called it quits due to distance and demanding careers.
"They did break up. It's amicable," a source tells the magazine, adding, "They are talking and trying to figure the best course of action for their future. They are trying to work things out."
Longoria kept a poker face during recent interviews to plug the season premiere of her ABC show “Desperate Housewives,” as various talk show hosts peppered her with questions about Parker, a guard with the San Antonio Spurs. But, People’s source says things have been rocky for a good minute.
"It's distance and demanding careers and not living in same city," said the source. "It didn't happen yesterday. It's been going on for a while."
In an earlier statement issued Friday by Longoria's rep Liza Anderson, she said, "Eva and Tony are going through a very difficult time right now, just like any other couple with extremely demanding careers." However, a source close to Parker told People earlier Friday that Parker said rumors of a breakup were not true.
