*During a fundraiser for the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington D.C., Oprah Winfrey spoke before about 3,000 supporters about her memories of visiting the Auschwitz concentration camp in Poland.

"I still cannot even imagine what it was like to go through a concentration camp and come out alive and sane," Winfrey said at the 11th annual luncheon, the museum's largest regularly scheduled fundraiser. "I couldn't take it all in when I was there. I couldn't wrap my brain around it."

Winfrey’s visit to Auschwitz in January was for a two-part episode of “The Oprah Winfrey Show” with scholar and holocaust survivor Elie Wiesel. She also selected Wiesel's memoir, "Night," for her book club.

"Those millions and millions and millions who did not survive want us to never forget the hopes they sacrificed on the killing fields," she said during her 15-minute speech.

Other speakers included Chicago Mayor Richard Daley and a high-school student who survived Rwanda's genocide.

"Each of us has a responsibility, we have a moral obligation to find a way to serve somebody other than ourselves," Winfrey said. "When you learn, teach. When you get, give."

In other Oprah news, her new weekly call-in show "Talk to Me with Oprah Winfrey," debuted Thursday on her XM Satellite Radio channel “Oprah & Friends” (channel 156).

Fans across the country can call 866-OPRAH-XM and reach Winfrey directly to ask questions and share stories during the half-hour program. Oprah will open each show with a brief monologue that will serve as the underlying theme, starting with this week's theme "Life Lessons."

The "Oprah & Friends" channel today also launched "Oprah Weekly Highlights," a half-hour program featuring the most memorable interviews and compelling moments of "The Oprah Winfrey Show" from the previous week.

"Talk to Me with Oprah Winfrey" will air Thursdays at 10 a.m. ET and "Oprah Weekly Highlights" will air Thursdays at 10:30 a.m. ET, both with additional encores airing throughout the week. The new programming replaces the weekly "Oprah and Gayle Show."
