*A man who claims he was elbowed deliberately by Los Angeles Lakers player Kobe Bryant during a Nov. 2005 game in Memphis is suing the athlete for $75,000 for unspecified injuries.

According to TMZ.com, Bill Geeslin says he was sitting in his courtside seats watching the Lakers take on the Grizzlies when Bryant came off the court during play and landed on him.

In court documents, Geeslin says Bryant “committed assault and battery and engaged in extreme and outrageous conduct when he, without provocation, violently struck Mr. Geeslin with [his] elbow, causing Mr. Geeslin injury and damages."

The so-called incident occurred on Nov. 14 of last year at FedEx Forum in Memphis.
