*It's starting to be a really fun awards season in Hollywood. First it was Jennifer Hudson and the Brothers (Eddie Murphy & Forest Whitaker) winning Golden Globes. Then came the Oscar nods for Hudson, Murphy, Whitaker, Will Smith and Djimon Honsou. And now this. In the lead up the Oscars, last night's SAG (Screen Actors Guild) Awards which saw more wins for Hudson, Murphy and Whitaker.

To begin with, Forest Whitaker of "The Last King of Scotland" won the Screen Actors Guild Award Sunday night as best male lead player.

And once again, Whitaker, appeared to have gotten lock-brain and couldn't figure what to say.

"I want to thank you for allowing me to have a moment like this," he said.

Eddie Murphy and Jennifer Hudson won supporting-acting honors for their roles in "Dreamgirls." Yes indeedy, Oscar hopes are looking good for the Brothers and the Sister!

Mr. Murphy began his speech like a serious "ak-tor" would, but he was just messing around.

"What a tremendous honor to be recognized by one's peers. I've been acting for some 25 years now and this is a tremendous honor," said Murphy, talking in a British accent.

"No, I'm sorry," said Murphy, cracking up in laughter. "I feel goofy up here, 'cause I don't be winning stuff."

Hudson gave props to her castmates Beyonce Knowles and Jamie Foxx.

"Because of you, I was able to work and learn from the best. Yes, you are the best," said Hudson, who added thanks to the actors guild. "Just thank you for noticing little old me and accepting me."

Backstage, Eddie Murphy said he was as surprised as everyone else that "Dreamgirls" received a leading eight Oscar nominations — but not one for best picture.

"We got eight nominations, that was a great thing. We were happy about that," he said. "I was so happy to be nominated, I wasn't feeling disappointment about anything. I was caught off guard that we didn't get nominated for best picture but I've just been happy, nonstop happy."

Of course we'd be remiss if we didn't mention Grey's Anatomy star Chandra Wilson and her victory.

"I won two in one night," she beamed, celebrating the show's drama ensemble victory and her win for female in a drama series. "Oh lord, I get two."

More on Wilson in tomorrow's EUR.

Like we said, it's starting to be a really fun awards season in Hollywood.
