JERMAINE WANTS MIJAC TO BECOME MUSLIM: Big bro says King of Pop has given conversion serious thought.
*In his first full day outside of Britain’s “Celebrity Big Brother” house, Jermaine Jackson told reporters that he hopes his brother Michael will convert to Islam – for his own protection.
"Michael, I feel, needs to become a Muslim because I think it's a great protection for him from all the things that he's been attacked with, which are false," Jermaine told BBC Asian Network Monday, one day after placing second on the “Celebrity Big Brother” reality show. "There's a strength and protection there."
Jermaine, who now makes his home in Bahrain, said he encouraged Michael to head there for a while following the craziness of his child molestation trial and eventual acquittal in June 2005.
"I was the reason why he had gone there, because I wanted him to get out of America and just go somewhere it's peaceful and quiet and people pray five times a day, which is beautiful," he said.
The new reality star also said it was his faith that helped keep him sane in the enclosed confines of the Big Brother house, where the contestants are kept cooped up under 24-hour surveillance.
"If I didn't have Allah and my prayer rug, I would not have survived and the reason why is because it kept me focused, it kept me calm," he said.
