*The fight for Frenchie Davis continues, even after the ousting Thursday of Antonella Barba on “American Idol.”

Controversy erupted after racy pictures of Barba surfaced on the Internet. “Idol” producers allowed Barba to continue in the competition, while 2003 contestant Davis was disqualified even after she told "AI" officials in advance that she she had once posed nude for a porn site.

Activist Najee Ali organized a rally in support of Davis last week in front of the Kodak Theatre, where the show will hold its Final 12 competition beginning this week.

Another rally was held Sunday at the same location, spearheaded by singer/songwriter Chris Tian. In both protests, Davis is calling for a meeting with executives from the network and “Idol” to discuss the reasons for the discrepancy.

“Fox has refused to meet with Frenchie or any of us post the initial press conference on Tuesday where even Najee Ali had requested that Fox and “American Idol” come to the table to address what happened with her as opposed to their treatment of Antonella Barba,” Davis’ manager Belinda Foster told EUR’s Lee Bailey on Saturday.

Foster says Barba’s boot from the show last week doesn’t make a bit of difference when it comes to producers making things right with Frenchie.

“If anything, it raises the suspicion in that Fox is not only not wanting to speak to us and address our concerns in terms of Frenchie, but suddenly Antonella’s off the show,” said Foster. “We’re getting many calls, [including] from other media sources, saying something is strange. Was it her actually being booted off by the public, or was it something on a political side to see if they could squash our request to take a meeting?”

Meanwhile, Frenchie finds it surprising that Fox has not only declined to talk to her during her media blitz last week, but, according to Foster, has refused to air her interviews on all Fox affiliates nationwide.

“She just feels hurt that they have chosen to instead use shows such as [Fox News Channel’s] “Hannity and Combs” to put her down as an artist and as an entertainer without letting her have her opportunity to share the interview she thought was going to be aired by Fox 5 in New York and other local channels.”
