‘TALENT’ REPLACING BRANDY? FOREMAN JOINS ‘INVENTOR’: Shows gear up for new seasons with fresh judges.(March 22, 2007)
*NBC’s “America’s Got Talent” and ABC’s “American Inventor,” both executive produced by “American Idol” judge Simon Cowell, will each return for second seasons with new faces among the judging panel. The New York Post is reporting that Sharon Osbourne may replace troubled singer Brandy on “America’s Got Talent,” while ABC has announced that boxing legend George Foreman will be one of four judges on “American Inventor” when it kicks off its new season June 6. Osbourne, the wife of heavy metal star Ozzy Osbourne, is reportedly in talks with producers to take over for Brandy, who will likely be embroiled in legal trouble stemming from her traffic accident that resulted in the death of a woman. Osbourne also appears as a judge on Cowell's hit UK talent show, "X-Factor."
George Foreman Foreman, 58, will be joined on the “Inventor” judging panel by former NBA executive Pat Croce, British businessman Peter Jones and undergarments entrepreneur Sara Blakely, creator of Spanx, FremantleMedia North America Inc. announced Tuesday. The show's new host is Nick Smith. The program allows inventors to compete for a chance to mass-produce their product and win a $1 million prize.
