*The New York Post’s Page Six is reporting that Jay-Z is close to forging a partnership with the champagne label Armand de Brignac, also known as Ace of Spades, "Gold Bottle" or simply "Ace."

The rap mogul turned toward the brand after his heart was broken by Louis Roederer Cristal. An executive at the company had criticized the drink’s embrace by the hip hop community. In response, Jigga called on his hip hop brethren to boycott Cristal.

In a video for Jay-Z’s single “Show Me What You Got,” the rapper was seen physically putting Cristal to the side in favor of Armand de Brignac. However, no official endorsement deal had been signed at the time. According to Page Six, that’s all about to change.

“Our sources assure us the deal is close to being inked,” the column reported Thursday.
