BIG BOI TO PERFORM WITH ATLANTA BALLET: Artist will rap as dancers perform new staged work.
*Big Boi has been booked to rap alongside the Atlanta Ballet next year as it debuts a brand new performance piece for the upcoming season, reports the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
No further details were given from ballet spokesman Jeff Al-Mashat, however, the company has staged works with musical acts in the past. In October 2001, the ballet collaborated with the Indigo Girls on "Shed Your Skin," which featured the Decatur duo performing songs onstage behind dancers.
Big Boi’s performances with the company are scheduled to take place April 10-13, 2008. The Atlanta Ballet’s 2007-2008 season opens Oct. 25 with artistic director John McFall's production of "Peter Pan."
