*On Wednesday’s (5/9) broadcast of the Opie & Anthony show, a frequent guest named "Homeless Charlie" said he wanted to have sex with “that George Bush b****,” referring to U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice. “I’d love to f*** that b****. She needs a f***ing man,” said “Homeless Charlie.” Co-host Anthony Cumia interrupted to say he "could just imagine the horror on Condoleezza Rice's face when she realized that you were holding her down and f***ing her." "Punching her in the f***ing face and f***ing her," Charlie added, laughing. Although the offensive comments were made on Opie & Anthony’s radio show on satellite station XM, (listen to comments below) a portion of their morning program is also heard on CBS-owned 92.3 "Free FM." CBS said they had no plans to cancel Opie & Anthony, reports the New York Post. A rep for XM issued the following statement: "We apologize to the public officials for comments that were made on our XM show... We take very seriously the responsibility that comes with our creative freedom and regret any offense that this segment has caused." While CBS has decided to leave Opie & Anthony alone, it has fired New York shock jocks Jeff Vandergrift and Dan Lay of "The Dog House with JV and Elvis" after they made a prank phone call filled with offensive Asian stereotypes. Vandergrift and Lay broadcast a call to a Chinese restaurant in which the caller, in an exaggerated accent, placed an order for "shrimp flied lice," claimed he was a student of kung fu, and compared menu items to employees' body parts. The initial airing of the call went unnoticed, but a rebroadcast after Don Imus's firing prompted an outcry from Asian-American groups. Vandergrift and Lay were initially suspended without pay, but Asian-Americans quickly demanded the same penalty applied to the much higher-profile Imus. "The Dog House with JV and Elvis," hosted by Jeff Vandergrift and Dan Lay, "will no longer be broadcast," CBS Radio spokeswoman Karen Mateo said Saturday. CBS fired Imus after he made racially insensitive remarks against blacks.
