BANTON, DOUG. E. FRESH, VALENTINO SET FOR IFOL: Chicago’s International Festival of Life

      *Buju Banton takes the stage at Martin's International Culture’s five day 15th Annual African/Caribbean International Festival of Life (IFOL) on Wednesday July 4th in Washington Park, 55th Street & Cottage Grove Avenue in Chicago.      

      The human beatbox Doug E. Fresh will entertain the audience on Friday July 6, and R&B star Bobby Valentino will rock the park on Sunday July 8.       

      The Festival of Life is a family event designed to help bridge the gap between people from the Caribbean, Africans, Europeans and Americans of all cultures and ethnic backgrounds by spotlighting the various cultures through their music, food, arts and crafts.      

      Other leading performers include Inner Circle on Saturday July 7, and veteran B.B. Seaton and the Gaylads.     

      Daily admission to the festival is $10 adults; $5 children under 12 and seniors 65 and older; free to kids 6 and under. A $30 season pass covers all five days.
