*Remember Paperboy? The former rapper who tasted fame with his platinum 1993 single “Ditty” was arrested on Wednesday after cops found $1,200 worth of marijuana in his vehicle, reports allhiphop.com. Born Mitchell Johnson, the artist was charged with transportation of marijuana for sale, suspicion of possession and sale of marijuana and possession of more than one ounce of marijuana after he was pulled over in Merced, Calif. and a vehicle search uncovered the large stash. He had been under investigation for several weeks, reports the Web site. His bail was set at $20,000. *Police said they will increase security at today’s funeral for slain rapper Stack Bundles, who was shot and killed last Monday (Jun 11) outside his home in Queens, NY. The Byrd Gang member, whose real name was Rayquon Elliot, died at a nearby hospital from two gunshot wounds. Fellow hip hop artists Jim Jones and Fabolous are among the mourners expected to pay their respects. *50 Cent continues his stance against Oprah Winfrey in the July issue of Spin. He claims she is completely out of touch with his demographic. "She doesn't ever say anything that anybody from the ghetto is gonna ID with," 50 said. "Take a poll. You go out and find me some young black women who ID with Oprah. ... She can escape the fact that she's black because she's a billionaire." *Mariah Carey has been named the worst singer of all time by British entertainment magazine The Word. The article says she’s “clearly the worst thing to happen to popular music since (disgraced British pop mogul) Jonathan King. All technique, gallons of surgery gloop, and not an atom of soul anywhere." *Joseph "Reverend Run" Simmons of Run DMC and his wife, Justine Simmons, will hit the road via bus this summer to promote Run’s new book that showcases the importance of family. The couple will take their children and new book across America with a mobile, multi-media, and multi-faceted campaign that highlights the keys to their successful parenting, as well as tips on having a close and productive family.
