The UK's live music scene has always been a vibrant thing. This year alone we have had the likes of Beyonce, Nas, Lauryn Hill, Amy Winehouse, Wu Tang Clan and John Legend gracing stages across British soil, thrilling audiences with their unique brands of Hip hop and R&B.

From the smaller gigs such as Omarion at Brixton Academy, to the bigger sets such as Justin and Timberland at the new O2 Arena, British music lovers have had plenty to choose from. Whether it be old school reunions like Brian McKnight/Joe/Boyz II Men at Hammersmith Apollo, veterans like Lionel Richie or Diana Ross at Wembley or Tina Turner in a one off charity gig, or new school jams like the upcoming Eric Roberson gig at London's Jazz Café, the fans usually get their moneys worth.

But then there are the disappointments such as the Snoop/Diddy tour which was cancelled when the Home Office refused Snoop a visa. British fans have also been disappointed when some American acts perform PA's when billed as concerts and blame promoters for not paying enough or when concerts dates are constantly changed. Fans have been known to walk out early if an artist isn't delivering or simply not buy a ticket at all forcing shows to be cancelled when word of mouth says they are just not worth it.

Mary J Blige knows just what standards UK Fans have, in her early days she disappointed fans at a gig with an under performance and they let her know. But years later when she returned to the standards we all know she is capable of, it was nothing but love and she was appreciative. 2007 still offers some musical delights for British fans such as Musiq/K-Ci & Jo Jo, and Donnell Jones, The Roots, Prince, Beverly Knight, and Rihanna.

If everyone is on point, it looks set to be a year of live music to remember. With a range of venues to play such as the new 02 Arena, the revamped Wembley Arena and stadium, and the classic Jazz Café, the crème de la crème can only be lured here. See listings below.
