JERMAINE JACKSON ESCAPES CHILD SUPPORT RULING: Ex-wife tries to convince judge he’s not as broke as he claims to be.
*Jermaine Jackson has been telling his ex-wife Alejandra he’s too broke to pay child support for their two kids, 11-year-old Jaffar and 7-year-old Jermajesty. But the woman wasn’t buying it.
In a court decision on the matter delivered Tuesday, Jackson was allowed to continue avoiding child and spousal support payments because the judge was unable to verify any source of income for the former entertainer, reports TMZ.com.
Alejandra tried to argue that Jermaine receives royalty checks, has various money-making ventures and was paid handsomely for coming in second place on the UK version of “Big Brother.” She also claimed Jackson received $150,000 from Prince Abdul in the Middle East. Jackson referred to the latter as “a loan.”
In legal papers, she says sarcastically: "He (claims) he has no income and all of his expenses are paid for by his girlfriend, who coincidentally, suddenly has a Swiss bank account and a Rolls Royce in her name after having worked at Bloomingdales and Macy's."
According to TMZ, Jackson's mother, Katherine, was ordered to continue paying Jermaine’s child support expenses on his behalf, and must allow Alejandra to continue living in their home for free.
Also in her court papers, Alejandra, states: "I seek full custody of our children, with reasonable visitation to Jermaine because I have concerns regarding Jermaine's sleeping accommodations for our children while they are in his care. …I believe it is unhealthy for our children to sleep in the same bedroom with Jermaine and his girlfriend...."
The next hearing will take place September 24.
