R. KELLY DENIES TOUR PLANS: Keyshia Cole said they would hit the road in October; plus, Cole rumored to be singing National Anthem at NFL kickoff.(August 27, 2007)
*A rep for R. Kelly is denying that the artist has planned an upcoming tour to begin sometime during the month following his trial on child pornography charges in September. The statement read: "Reports that R. Kelly is planning a concert tour in October are not true. Kelly is currently focused on preparing for his trial and has no definite plans for anything beyond that." MTV.com first reported the possible tour based on their interview with R&B star Keyshia Cole. The singer said she and Kelly had plans for a tour to begin in October. The jaunt would have likely interfered with Kelly’s trial, which is scheduled to begin on Sept. 17. Prosecutors have said the case should take no longer than four weeks. Meanwhile, there is word that Keyshia Cole will be singing the National Anthem at the kick off to the 2007 NFL season in Indianapolis, and will be backed by Ft.Wayne, Indiana’s Voices of Unity Youth Choir.
