*Rapper Method Man has been cast in the upcoming flick “Hunting and Fishing,” a parody of the special effects-laden hit, “300.”

The Wu-Tang Clan member plays a Persian emissary in the project being produced by Jason Friedberg and Alan Seltzer, the writers behind such spoofs as “Date Movie,” “Epic Movie” and “Remembering the Titans On Any Given Sunday Gives Me The Varsity Blues.”

Based on the graphic novel from Frank Miller, “300” is a fictionalized retelling of the Battle of Thermopylae. The film was shot mostly with bluescreen to duplicate the imagery of the original comic book.

“Hunting and Fishing” began shooting recently in Louisiana with co-stars Jim Piddock, Kevin Sorbo, Diedrich Bader, Tim Connolly and others.
