TRACY MORGAN HAS SCRAM SENTENCE EXTENDED: Actor admits to violating probation with a drink last month.(September 20, 2007)
*Two days after his NBC show “30 Rock” won an Emmy Award for best comedy series, Tracy Morgan was ordered by a judge to spend an extra 80 days in his alcohol monitoring anklet for violating terms of his probation. Morgan was fitted for the Secure Continuous Remote Alcohol Monitoring (SCRAM) contraption on May 25th for violating probation stemming from a DUI in December 2005. The device, worn around the ankle, detects booze in sweat and vapors released through the skin. At a status hearing Tuesday, the comedian admitted to drinking alcohol on Aug. 4. He was ordered to remain SCRAMed up for 80 more days and attend another 10 Alcoholics Anonymous meetings by Oct. 23, reports E! Online. His original SCRAM sentence was for 90 days, with a warning that he’d face another month and a half of ankle supervision if he fell off the wagon. If he violates the terms of the deal a second time, he'll get an automatic 30-day stay at the L.A. County Jail. Speak Out
