*“Good Morning America” co-host Robin Roberts has announced she will begin chemotherapy today as part of her treatment for breast cancer.

Roberts, 46, underwent surgery on Aug. 3 and spent ten days on the mend before returning to work. The TV personality said during Wednesday’s broadcast that she would come to work this morning “and then head off for my chemotherapy.”

She told viewers that doctors determined chemotherapy would be the best course of action for her, and that radiation treatment will follow.

"I'll work as much as I can," Roberts said. "Part of the reason I am coming forward is in case you tune in and it looks like Kojak is sitting next to Diane (Sawyer), you'll understand why."
