OPRAH’S DADDY GETS INTO REAL ESTATE: Vernon and his wife make plans to develop area around his barbershop.

*Oprah Winfrey's father and stepmother are planning to build a retail and residential development near the small Nashville, Tennessee barbershop he has run for the past 40 years, reports the Associated Press.
Per their announcement Tuesday, Vernon and Barbara Winfrey are calling the project Winberry Place. The development will have six single-family homes, three townhouses, three apartments and retail space.
Barbara Winfrey says the project, scheduled to begin early next year, will help complement existing efforts to revitalize the area.
