R. KELLY BEGINS U.S. TOUR NEXT MONTH: J. Holiday, Ne-Yo tag along as supporting acts.

      *With no start date for his child pornography trial in sight, R. Kelly has laid the groundwork for an upcoming tour to promote his most recent studio album, "Double Up," which entered The Billboard 200 at No. 1 in June.

       Fellow R&B crooners J. Holiday and Ne-Yo are booked as opening acts for the tour, which is scheduled to hit 39 dates across the United States beginning Nov. 14 at the Columbus Civic Center in Columbus, Ga., and wrapping Jan. 12 at the Hampton Coliseum in Hampton, Va.        Washington, D.C.-based vocalist J. Holiday will support his new album "Back of My Lac'" which was released Tuesday (Oct. 2) via Music Line/Capitol. Ne-Yo, who will plug his Def Jam set "Because of You," is currently on tour through early November in Los Angeles (Wiltern Theatre); Orlando, Fla. (University of Central Florida); Poughkeepsie, N.Y. (Mid-Hudson Civic Center); Huntington, W.Va. (Big Sandy Superstore Arena); and Pine Bluff, Ark. (University of Arkansas).       

       According to Billboard, the artist had to get special permission from the judge in his case to travel out of state.
